Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy, President Erdoğan said:
“The Worlds 2nd fastest growing economy quarter’s growth figures announced today have once again proven the Turkish economy’s dynamism, production potential, and endurance. The Turkish economy grew by 21.7 % in the second quarter and became the second-fastest-growing economy in the world.”
“OUR DEFENSE AND AVIATION EXPORTS EXCEEDED 3 BILLION DOLLARS”
Worlds 2nd fastest-growing economy Underscoring that these lands on which we lived freely had been entrusted to us by our gallant martyrs, President Erdoğan said: “Turkey moves much further forward in production, investment, healthcare, export, diplomacy, and security. They would not give us UAVs or UCAVs in the past. However, do we have our own UAVs, UCAVs, and Akıncı right now? Yes, we do indeed. We will grow much stronger and continue to move forward. We used to be a country that was in need of others even in the legitimate fight against terror. Thanks to Allah, we now have increased our domestic production rate in defense industry from some 20 percent to nearly 80 percent.”
Pointing out that with the Akıncı UCAV, which had been added to the inventory of the Turkish military that week, Turkey had become one of the top 3 countries in unmanned aerial vehicles, President Erdoğan noted: “We not only produce our own weapons, vessels, and rockets, but we export a significant amount of these products to friendly and brotherly countries as well. Our defense and aviation exports, which once could not reach even 250 million dollars, have already left behind some 3 billion dollars.”
“ATTEMPTS AIMED AT EXCLUDING TURKEY AND THE TRNC FROM THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN WERE THWARTED”
worlds 2nd fastest-growing economy Describing the operations carried out against terrorist organizations inside and outside our borders as the most successful ones in Turkey’s history, President Erdoğan stated: “In addition to these operations, we, together with our brothers and sisters, have accomplished many achievements, from putting an end to the 30-year-long occupation in Karabakh to the fight for legitimacy against the putschists in Libya.”
Further stressing that the attempts aimed at excluding Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from the Eastern Mediterranean had been thwarted as well thanks to Turkey’s resolute stance, President Erdoğan added that Turkey had won the appreciation of billions of people with both its high-quality healthcare services and the global solidarity it had displayed during the coronavirus pandemic, one of the gravest health crisis of the history of humanity.
“THE SECOND QUARTER’S GROWTH FIGURES HAVE ONCE AGAIN PROVEN THE TURKISH ECONOMY’S DYNAMISM”
Stating that the Turkish economy, which closed in 2020 with a growth rate of 1.8 percent, continued its growth trend, President Erdoğan said: “We maintained the momentum, which we gained last year, in the first quarter of the year with 7.2 percent growth rate. And, the second quarter’s growth figures announced today have once again proven the Turkish economy’s dynamism, production potential, and endurance. The Turkish economy grew by 21.7 percent in the second quarter and became the second-fastest-growing economy in the world. This growth data, which cannot be explained merely with base effect, has once again shown that Turkey has an economy of production.”
“WE ARE DETERMINED TO RENDER TURKEY AN INVESTMENT AND PRODUCTION BASE”
Underscoring that this positive course of the Turkish economy was the sign that 2021 would be closed with a strong growth rate, President Erdoğan added: “The international organizations, which used to spread pessimism about the Turkish economy, have now started to revise their growth prospects in the upward direction. It is now time to act more enthusiastically for investment, production, export, and employment. We face a rare and great opportunity and by making the most of this opportunity, we are determined to render our country an investment and production base. Therefore, whatever others do and whatever they say, we only take care of our own business and focus on our goals.”
